The Laurel Lakes HOA generally follows the Residential Sarasota County Water Conservation Program Rules on Water Restrictions for Homes. Since we are an HOA and pay Sarasota County for the re-use irrigation water supply we have some flexibility and can impose some changes to these rules.
Below are the guidelines;
All residents of unincorporated Sarasota County shall follow landscape and irrigation water restrictions. The restrictions apply to sources of water including well, pond, or utility system used for manual and automated irrigation systems except for low-volume Irrigation, spot treatment, residential drip lines, and soaker hoses.
Rain sensor shut-off devices are required for automated irrigation systems.
In addition to the above information, the Association recommends that owners follow Architectural Standards concerning irrigation and maintenance. All systems should be maintained and in proper working order at all times. Failure to follow these rules will lead to violation letters and fines from the Association. These fines can be up to $100/day for each day and/or occurrence until cured. If not cured properly these fines can accumulate up to $2.500 maximum.
